A GUIDE TO HEMP COMPLIANT DELTA 9 THC
IS CANNABIS HEMP?
Both Marijuana and Hemp are a species of Cannabis Sativa L plants. However, Hemp was made legal when the Farm Bill of 2018 was passed. That legislation decriminalized hemp-derived products so long as that variety contained less than .3% THC. This opened the door for many wholesalers and retailers to invest in the product. Hemp sales rose dramatically and it’s currently on an upward trend.
THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN POPULAR CANNABINOIDS
Cannabinoids are natural occurring compounds found in Hemp. Three of the most popular cannabinoids are Cannabidiol (CBD), Delta 9 THC and Delta 8 THC. Here is a breakdown of all three cannabinoids:
- CBD – Cannabidiol is the major non-psychoactive ingredient of cannabis. Its hemp-derived version is one of the best selling products in the cannabis-producing industry. The substance can be legally distributed as long as it remains below the legal .3% limit. CBD products can be smoked and vaped, or used as ingredients in various edibles.
- Delta-9 THC – THC is the most prevalent psychoactive compound in Marijuana, but less prevalent in Hemp. The Delta-9 variety is the one most responsible for the recreational 'high' associated with cannabis. It can be detected in the human body for up to twenty hours after ingestion, even though its psychoactive effects only last a few hours at most.
- Delta-8 THC – Delta-8 is a Hemp compound that is very similar to Delta-9. Their difference is a molecular variation, in which a single bond exists on a different molecular strand, as you compare the two. That molecular variance gives the two compounds slightly different properties.
Although Delta 8 bonds to human cannabinoid receptors just as readily as Delta 9, it does so in a different fashion, producing effects that are milder and more measured in terms of their psychoactive impact. In terms of legislation, Delta-9 THC is specifically outlawed in concentrations above .3%. Delta-8 THC isn't specifically mentioned, so its legal status is a lot less certain.
Delta 9 THC Gummies
Now that you have a better understanding of the different types of cannabinoids within the Hemp plant; the levels of Delta 9 THC within our new Gummies are very simple to understand.
PERCENTAGE OF DELTA 9 THC
Our new gummies are not considered to be Marijuana because of 2 things. First and foremost, the THC we use comes from the Hemp plant, and not from Marijuana. Secondly, they have less than 0.3% Delta 9 THC in them. Each gummy contains less than 0.3% of Delta-9 THC by dry weight.
The individual gummies have approximately 10 mg of THC and have a total weight of 6 grams (6,000 mg). That means 0.3% of Delta-9 THC comes to approximately 10 mg. Therefore, each pack comes with approximately 100 mg of Delta 9 THC at 10 mg each. In order for them to be compliant with current Hemp laws, each Gummy needs to have approximately 0.3% of Delta 9 THC.
DOSAGE
The recommended dosage for beginners is half or a quarter of a gummy. Experienced users are able to take the full gummy. The gummies are vegan, they taste wonderful, and come in 3 different flavors including: Blueberry Citrus, Guavaberry Fruit, and Kiwi Mixer. Keep in mind that these Gummies tend to hit you gradually.
They take more advantage of a specific human cannabinoid receptor called 11-hydroxy-THC. After Delta-8 or Delta-9 have been ingested and metabolized in the liver, 11-hydroxy-THC allows them to deliver a more potent and lasting effect. This is why edibles are more subtle and don't sneak up on you. The effects are more Sativa-leaning with less of a body high.
Delta 9 THC Shot
Another game chancing product is our new Blue Raspberry Slushie Delta 9 THC Shot. This product has a delicious flavor of Blue Raspberry Slushie along with notes of Hemp. However, you might be wondering how is any of this possible? It's pretty simple when you break down the math and know how much Delta 9 THC is considered compliant.
When you break down the weight and milligrams in a Delta 9 shot, 0.3% of Delta 9 THC is 75 mg. This is because the shot comes in a 30 ml bottle and when broken down into milligrams it equals out to 30,000. Therefore, only 3% of that is 75 mg of Delta 9 THC, which is more than enough to experience a head change.
Conclusion
If you’re curious if Hemp derived Delta 9 products are strong, they are! Although it is Hemp compliant you’ll still get that familiar experience from the Delta 9 THC. One important thing to keep in mind is that any Hemp product with less than 0.3% of Delta 9 THC is legal. Therefore, you should be able to experience the great things from our Delta 9 THC products.
